“TEMPUS OMNIA REVELAT”   6ft x 4ft

This work is painted to reference the style of “Pietre Dure”,   a type of mosaic made from semi precious stones popular in 16th century Italy.

There are small secrets, such as actual leather venetian blinds that work to reveal another painting; there are applied antique watch pieces 'unmarking' time.

The painted wall appears to have two holes in it; I have applied actual 19th century photo negatives of children and a couple in each space.

The hand of the painted woman is sculpted in a paper clay; her two dimensional painted body gradually leads into the three dimensional hand which appears to rest on the wall.

Materials: paint, antique photo negatives, watch pieces, paper, leather, chain links, buttons, paper clay.
